Rain...

I sat on my bead and looked out the window. It was raining outside. I gave a sigh. What was the point to live if the erasers were always hunting us down? Well, they didn't really hunt me down, but it still felt like it. I gave another sigh, and staired out into the gloom. That was when I heard some one from out in the hall "Whose there?" I murmerd. Mabey an eraser finally caught up with me.

"Hey there," I said, smiling warmly."I'm Maximum Ride. Who're you? I've never seen you here before, even though there's not many campers yet,"I said to the girl. I brushed a strand of my hair out of my face and tucked it behind my ear.

"I'm Kat." I told her glumly. Maximum was smiling, but why was she so happy? What was there to be happy about when any second the house could catch on fire and we all would die? "and I've been here for a few years, are you sure you haven't seen me before? At like, breakfast?" I asked. I mean, after have been here for 4 or 5 years, it's strange when people ask you 'are you new?'.

I give a shrug and look back out the window. It was still raining. "Whatever." I told her, witch was pretty stupid. If she was the founder, then couldn't she kick me out? I wasn't sure.

Clearly this girl was depressed or something."Hey, what's wrong?" I wasnt going to let the kids at Camp Ride be like this. They could be out running for their lives, possibly be dead or captured, but they had a nice, warm, safe place to stay.

I open the door to find to girls, one who is sitting on a bed and the other one standing there talking. " Um, hi?", I say as I just stand there, wondering if I'm in the right place.

I had been hiding underneath the the window. Soaked and shivering, I quickly leaped up before anyone could see me. Maximum Ride. She was the founder, the leader, the one. I had to go tell the others outside of the camp....

I gave the girl who just came in a forced smile, and then turned my head to look back at the rain. Rain, water, all of them were needed to live, survive, but they were just...gloomy. There was a crash of thunder, and I just gave a sigh.

"Well, you came to the right place. Camp Ride is safe from erasers. They won't get in--as long as I'm around," I laughed. I hoped she decided to stay, an not leave.

"Well .... thank's Max. It's good to be in a place where I dont have to be moving around all the time. By the way, the erasers are becoming stronger then I ever could have imagined." It pains me to relive the images of leaving the school and having to leave my dearest friend behind.
