New friend

I come out of the water, dripping wet. I go to where my towel is and sit there, just relaxing for the first time in years.

Hunter jogged over to the lake. It was a really nice day and he was seriously bored. Might as well just go to the lake and have a quick dip, right? Right. Because that's what Hunter was planning on doing. The dark brown-haired boy reached the lake. Once he got there, he saw a girl, most likely older than him by a couple of years. Being Hunter, he walked over to her with that lopsided grin of his. "Hey," he said, sitting next to her. "What's up?"

I looked up to see a boy, deffinatly younger than me, who had brown hair."Hi. Uhhh, do I know you?" I sat up lokking him over one more time before going back to relaxing.

Hunter laughed slightly. "No, I don't think you do, but being bored causes youto talk to people you don't even know, I guess," he said looking over at her. "The name's Hunter. You?" He smiled again bofore looking over the lake, casually.

I sit up and introduce myself."Well hello Hunter, My names Annabelle, but you can call me Anna. So, why are you bored? I mean we are at camp ride."

Hunter turned his head to smile at her again. "Nice to meet you Anna," he said. When she asked him why he was bored though, Hunter had to think for a second. Why was he bored? Because he probably just was. "I don't know," he answered Annabelle, shrugging. "So what bout you? What brought you to the lake today?

"Swimming," I answer. i look over him one more time and say,"Two things. One, why are you here? And two, how old are you?" I glance over to the lake, wanting to get this conversation over and just swim again.

"I was actually bored and then came over here for a swim the. I saw you and I was thinking, 'Might as well make a new friend, right?' So yeah," Hunter explained. He then stood up abruptly and jumped into the lake. He resurfaced a few minutes later then turned to Anna. "Oh, and I'm ten."

He stood up abruptly and jumped into the lake. I couldnt help myself from laughing a little bit. He resurfaced a few mintues later and told me he was 10 years old. I stood up and watched him for a mintue."I'm 14," I yelled out to him."Do you want to have a race?"

I walk to the lake in my swim trunks.I see Anna yelling to a kid in the water,asking if he wants to have a race.I walk to Anna and say,"Hey,who's this?"

"Yeah! I'd love to race," he called to Anna, swimming under then resurfacing again. Then, another person walked up next to Anna. He seemed to know her. With a sly grin, Hunter swam over to them. "I'm Hunter, nice to meet ya, Anna's Boyfriend," Hunter greeted, assuming that's who the guy was.

I turn to see Dylan walk up right next to me."Hey! That's-" I'm cut off but Hunter himself. I look down and blush as he seems to know that Dylan and me are together.

Hunter snickered slightly. He was right! "Nice ta meet ya Dylan," Hunter said, once Dylan actually told him his name. Swimming backwards for a second, Hunter then looked at the both of them. "Well? You two lovebirds gonna swim or stay ashore?" Hunter gave his famous lopsided grin before going underwater again.

I looked to Dylan and gave a little laugh."Come on," I said as I pulled Dylan into the water. I walked out to the point where I couldn't feel the bottom anymore.

"Try to keep up,"I say.I give her a quick kiss then go underwater.I start to swim bacwards.

He swims up and kisses me. I laugh as he dives underwater and starts to swim away backwards. I then dive underwater. I glance around, see him and smile before I swim ahead and go to the bottom. Once I am able to touch the wet, sandy bottom of the lake, I stop and start doing balk walkovers, flips, cartwheels, and many more acrobatic stunts.

When Hunter noticed Anna and Dylan kiss he rolled his eyes. To him, that was just ew. Finally they both got into the water. Hunter smiled as he noticed Anna doing some stunts. "That's nuthing," he called. Running up ashore, Hunter spread his wings and flapped them dry. Then he took off. Once he was up in the sky, Hunter tucked his wings in and made a dive to the lake. As he was falling Hunter did various poses and a few flips, but the flips ended badly which caused him to get a rather painful bellyflop. Resurfacing, Hunter groaned. "Well, that hurt," he said.

I resurface to see Hunter run up on shore, fly into the air and do a painful belly flop."Ouch," I say as I wince in knowing the pain."That must have hurt a lot." I swim up next to Dylan."Hey."

Hunter floated on the water and shrugged at Dylan's comment. "Meh," he said simply. He swam down underwater then resurfaced just quickly enough to hear what Anna said. "Yeah, it did, but I'll live."

Dylan leans over and kisses me."So, what do you two boys want to do now?" I say while trying to get a piece of greenish, blueish weed out of my hair.

Hunter made a face when the older teens kissed again. He sighed before diving to the bottom then resurfacing again. Hunter shrugged at Anna's question. "I don't know," he answered truthfully.
